Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 1.73%

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 1.73% to hit a new all time high.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Danske Bank A/S (CSE:DANSKE), which rose 5.16% or 5.2 points to trade at 106.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS) added 3.07% or 24.6 points to end at 824.8 and Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb) was up 2.89% or 12.6 points to 448.0 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Carlsberg A/S B (CSE:CARLb), which fell 0.19% or 1.8 points to trade at 933.4 at the close. Pandora A/S (CSE:PNDORA) declined 0.05% or 0.2 points to end at 412.7 and Lundbeck A/S (CSE:LUN) was up 0.04% or 0.1 points to 235.3.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 81 to 49 and 17 ended unchanged.

Shares in Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS) rose to all time highs; up 3.07% or 24.6 to 824.8.

Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.05% or 0.02 to $40.73 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $43.14 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.37% or 6.75 to trade at $1816.75 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was down 0.06% to 6.5104, while EUR/DKK rose 0.04% to 7.4454.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.08% at 95.817.
