According to Harvard Medical School, a golfer who rides in a cart ends up walking about one mile and burning some 400 calories over the course of a four-hour golf round.

Does that count as exercise? In President Donald Trump’s view, sure.

“I know many in business and politics that work out endlessly, in some cases to a point of exhaustion. It is their number one passion in life, but nobody complains,” Trump wrote in a tweet Sunday. “My ‘exercise’ is playing, almost never during the week, a quick round of golf.”

Here’s Trump, joined by his caddie clinging to the back, getting some of that exercise on Sunday, according to NBC News White House correspondent Kelly O’Donnell:

Trump, who criticized his predecessor dozens of times for the amount of golf he played, also tweeted over the weekend that “Obama played more and much longer rounds, no problem.” This despite the fact that tallies comparing the two show that’s definitely not the case. At the rate he’s going, Trump is on track to golf a total of 596 rounds by the end of a hypothetical second term, TrumpGolfCount.com projected. Obama played 306 golf rounds.
