Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 1.49%

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 1.49%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Danske Bank A/S (CSE:DANSKE), which rose 3.18% or 2.9 points to trade at 92.7 at the close. Meanwhile, Pandora A/S (CSE:PNDORA) added 2.97% or 11.0 points to end at 381.9 and William Demant Holding A/S (CSE:DEMANT) was up 2.84% or 5.0 points to 181.0 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were ISS A/S (CSE:ISS), which fell 0.61% or 0.65 points to trade at 106.35 at the close. Chr. Hansen Holding A/S (CSE:CHRH) unchanged 0.00% or 0.0 points to end at 687.6 and Coloplast A/S (CSE:COLOb) was up 0.48% or 5.0 points to 1040.0.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 82 to 38 and 26 ended unchanged.

Shares in Pandora A/S (CSE:PNDORA) rose to 52-week highs; up 2.97% or 11.0 to 381.9.

Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.95% or 0.38 to $40.20 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 1.31% or 0.55 to hit $42.58 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.44% or 7.75 to trade at $1787.65 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was up 0.22% to 6.6371, while EUR/DKK rose 0.02% to 7.4521.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.14% at 97.293.
