Laura Ingraham’s got your back, Drew Brees.
While the New Orleans Saints quarterback came under intense fire this week for reiterating his opposition to taking a knee during the national anthem, the Fox New host defended him by saying “he’s allowed to have his view about what kneeling and the flag mean to him.”
Not everybody was in his corner, of course:
Speaking of LeBron James, Ingraham wasn’t so supportive of him back in 2018 when he criticized President Trump during an ESPN interview.
“It’s always unwise to seek political advice from someone who gets paid $100 million a year to bounce a ball,” she said. “Keep the political comments to yourselves. … Shut up and dribble.”
