Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 3.45%

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 3.45%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Ambu A/S (CSE:AMBUb), which rose 5.63% or 11.4 points to trade at 213.8 at the close. Meanwhile, Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb) added 4.69% or 19.6 points to end at 439.1 and Genmab (CSE:GMAB) was up 4.49% or 89.0 points to 2073.0 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were AP Moeller – Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb), which fell 2.55% or 172 points to trade at 6580 at the close. Tryg A/S (CSE:TRYG) declined 0.05% or 0.1 points to end at 188.3 and Chr. Hansen Holding A/S (CSE:CHRH) was down 0.03% or 0.2 points to 642.2.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 90 to 39 and 19 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for July delivery was up 2.35% or 0.77 to $33.58 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 4.39% or 1.52 to hit $36.12 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.57% or 9.70 to trade at $1720.40 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was down 0.67% to 6.7266, while EUR/DKK rose 0.05% to 7.4544.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.66% at 98.407.
