Germany stocks higher at close of trade; DAX up 0.15%

At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX rose 0.15%, while the MDAX index added 0.46%, and the TecDAX index added 0.46%.

The best performers of the session on the DAX were Allianz SE VNA O.N. (DE:ALVG), which rose 2.65% or 4.06 points to trade at 157.12 at the close. Meanwhile, Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (DE:IFXGn) added 2.45% or 0.445 points to end at 18.575 and Siemens AG Class N (DE:SIEGn) was up 1.83% or 1.67 points to 92.94 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Deutsche Telekom AG Na (DE:DTEGn), which fell 2.34% or 0.328 points to trade at 13.660 at the close. Beiersdorf AG O.N. (DE:BEIG) declined 1.83% or 1.750 points to end at 93.620 and Muench. Rueckvers. VNA O.N. (DE:MUVGn) was down 1.50% or 2.88 points to 188.65.

The top performers on the MDAX were Scout24 AG (DE:G24n) which rose 6.09% to 67.100, Commerzbank AG O.N. (DE:CBKG) which was up 5.17% to settle at 3.278 and Thyssenkrupp AG O.N. (DE:TKAG) which gained 5.09% to close at 5.202.

The worst performers were RTL Group SA (DE:RRTL) which was down 2.16% to 28.040 in late trade, Morphosys AG O.N. (DE:MORG) which lost 2.11% to settle at 119.625 and Gerresheimer AG (DE:GXIG) which was down 2.08% to 70.600 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were Dialog Semiconductor (DE:DLGS) which rose 4.99% to 33.970, New Work SE (DE:NWOn) which was up 4.70% to settle at 267.50 and Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (DE:AFXG) which gained 3.18% to close at 92.500.

The worst performers were Deutsche Telekom AG Na (DE:DTEGn) which was down 2.34% to 13.660 in late trade, Morphosys AG O.N. (DE:MORG) which lost 2.11% to settle at 119.625 and CompuGroup Medical AG O.N. (DE:COPMa) which was down 1.62% to 73.000 at the close.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 373 to 296 and 71 ended unchanged.

Shares in Scout24 AG (DE:G24n) rose to all time highs; gaining 6.09% or 3.850 to 67.100.

The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 0.33% to 33.32.

Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.60% or 10.40 to $1744.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 0.16% or 0.05 to hit $31.60 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 0.72% or 0.25 to trade at $34.56 a barrel.

EUR/USD was up 0.19% to 1.0933, while EUR/GBP fell 0.23% to 0.8925.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.17% at 99.513.
