At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 lost 0.89%, while the SBF 120 index declined 1.35%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Kering SA (PA:PRTP), which rose 2.38% or 10.25 points to trade at 440.05 at the close. Meanwhile, LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton SE (PA:LVMH) added 2.13% or 7.45 points to end at 357.50 and ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT) was up 1.30% or 0.11 points to 8.59 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Renault SA (PA:RENA), which fell 10.85% or 2.06 points to trade at 16.94 at the close. Sodexo SA (PA:EXHO) declined 8.05% or 4.94 points to end at 56.42 and WFD Unibail Rodamco NV (AS:URW) was down 5.86% or 2.86 points to 45.93.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Maisons du Monde SAS (PA:MDM) which rose 6.47% to 9.55, Genfit (PA:GNFT) which was up 6.03% to settle at 5.36 and Kering SA (PA:PRTP) which gained 2.38% to close at 440.05.
The worst performers were DBV Technologies (PA:DBV) which was down 16.80% to 8.35 in late trade, Klepierre SA (PA:LOIM) which lost 12.95% to settle at 14.29 and Renault SA (PA:RENA) which was down 10.85% to 16.94 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 374 to 200 and 75 ended unchanged.
Shares in Klepierre SA (PA:LOIM) fell to 5-year lows; falling 12.95% or 2.12 to 14.29.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was up 9.21% to 31.13.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.66% or 11.50 to $1745.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.03% or 0.01 to hit $31.66 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 0.63% or 0.22 to trade at $34.59 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.16% to 1.0929, while EUR/GBP fell 0.27% to 0.8922.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.15% at 99.532.
