Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 1.79%

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 1.79% to hit a new 1-month high.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were ISS A/S (CSE:ISS), which rose 14.06% or 13.44 points to trade at 109.00 at the close. Meanwhile, AP Moeller – Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb) added 6.00% or 386 points to end at 6822 and DSV (CSE:DSV) was up 4.26% or 29.2 points to 715.0 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Novozymes A/S B (CSE:NZYMb), which fell 1.09% or 3.8 points to trade at 345.2 at the close. Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb) declined 0.19% or 0.8 points to end at 438.6 and Lundbeck A/S (CSE:LUN) was up 0.04% or 0.1 points to 244.9.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 101 to 27 and 16 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for July delivery was up 9.18% or 2.71 to $32.23 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 8.74% or 2.84 to hit $35.34 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 1.24% or 21.75 to trade at $1734.55 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was down 0.80% to 6.8343, while EUR/DKK rose 0.07% to 7.4559.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.75% at 99.685.
