The best performers of the session on the S&P/ASX 200 were Graincorp Ltd (ASX:GNC), which rose 11.55% or 0.38 points to trade at 3.67 at the close. Meanwhile, Breville Group Ltd (ASX:BRG) added 6.68% or 1.25 points to end at 19.95 and Charter Hall Group (ASX:CHC) was up 4.25% or 0.31 points to 7.61 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Unibail Rodamco Westfield (ASX:URW), which fell 7.83% or 0.31 points to trade at 3.65 at the close. Mcmillan Shakespeare Ltd (ASX:MMS) declined 7.51% or 0.56 points to end at 6.90 and Jumbo Interactive Ltd (ASX:JIN) was down 7.27% or 0.90 points to 11.48.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Sydney Stock Exchange by 844 to 360 and 319 ended unchanged.

The S&P/ASX 200 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of S&P/ASX 200 options, was up 0.34% to 26.342.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.46% or 7.90 to $1724.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 1.19% or 0.30 to hit $25.59 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 0.99% or 0.29 to trade at $29.48 a barrel.
AUD/USD was down 0.15% to 0.6444, while AUD/JPY fell 0.32% to 68.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 100.338.
