Exxon Mobil Earnings, Revenue Beat in Q1

Exxon Mobil announced earnings per share of $0.53 on revenue of $56.16B. Analysts polled by Investing.com anticipated EPS of $0.04 on revenue of $54.81B. That with comparison to EPS of $0.55 on revenue of $63.63B in the same period a year before. Exxon Mobil had reported EPS of $0.41 on revenue of $67.17B in the previous quarter. Analysts are expecting EPS of $-0.4 and revenue of $40.61B in the upcoming quarter.

Exxon Mobil shares are down 33% from the beginning of the year , still down 42.10% from its 52 week high of $80.26 set on May 1, 2019. They are under-performing the S&P 500 which is down 10.24% year to date.

Exxon Mobil shares lost 3.66% in pre-market trade following the report.

Exxon Mobil’s report follows an earnings beat by Chevron on Friday, who reported EPS of $1.93 on revenue of $29.71B, compared to forecasts EPS of $0.65 on revenue of $29.75B.

Royal Dutch Shell B ADR had beat expectations on Thursday with first quarter EPS of $0.74 on revenue of $60.96B, compared to forecast for EPS of $0.52 on revenue of $65.15B.
