Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 3.50%

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 3.50%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were DSV (CSE:DSV), which rose 7.51% or 41.0 points to trade at 587.0 at the close. Meanwhile, AP Moeller – Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb) added 6.78% or 384 points to end at 6050 and GN Store Nord (CSE:GN) was up 6.02% or 16.3 points to 286.9 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Ambu A/S (CSE:AMBUb), which fell 2.87% or 4.7 points to trade at 159.3 at the close. Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS) declined 0.71% or 4.0 points to end at 558.4 and Novozymes A/S B (CSE:NZYMb) was down 0.10% or 0.3 points to 289.2.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 90 to 41 and 14 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for May delivery was down 7.47% or 1.83 to $22.66 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 4.02% or 1.10 to hit $26.29 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 1.16% or 18.90 to trade at $1652.30 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was down 1.47% to 6.7625, while EUR/DKK fell 0.06% to 7.4627.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 1.41% at 99.570.
