At the close in Saudi Arabia, the gained 1.83%.
The best performers of the session on the were Arabian Centres Co (SE:), which rose 9.19% or 1.80 points to trade at 21.38 at the close. Meanwhile, Astra Industrial Group (SE:) added 9.13% or 1.26 points to end at 15.06 and Al Aseel Co Ltd (SE:) was up 9.11% or 3.85 points to 46.10 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Baazeem Trading Co (SE:), which fell 4.38% or 1.65 points to trade at 36.00 at the close. Saudi Marke (SE:) declined 4.16% or 0.62 points to end at 14.28 and Red Sea Housing Services Company (SE:) was down 3.86% or 0.39 points to 9.71.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 149 to 38 and 8 ended unchanged.
Shares in Saudi Marke (SE:) fell to all time lows; falling 4.16% or 0.62 to 14.28. Shares in Red Sea Housing Services Company (SE:) fell to all time lows; losing 3.86% or 0.39 to 9.71.
Crude oil for May delivery was up 10.85% or 2.26 to $23.09 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 4.18% or 1.04 to hit $25.92 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.98% or 14.50 to trade at $1492.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.89% to 4.0590, while USD/SAR rose 0.21% to 3.7607.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 1.00% at 102.555.
