Tom Brady is leaving the New England Patriots.
The 42-year-old quarterback with six Super Bowl titles said in an Twitter post Tuesday morning that he won’t play for the Patriots in 2020, a team he played his entire career for.
“I don’t know what my football future holds but it is time for me to open a new stage for my life and career,” Brady wrote in his post.

For the first time in his career, Brady is free agent and can agree to contract terms with any team he wants.
The league’s free agency period begins on Wednesday, but Brady could reach agreement with another team on Tuesday when players and clubs can negotiate deals.
Brady is a four-time Super Bowl Most Valuable Player, 17-time AFC East champion, and a three-time NFL MVP. Brady has been the face of the Patriots and widely accepted as one of the greatest football players who have ever lived.
Brady made $235,166,804 over 20 years with the Patriots, according to Spotrac.
Among the teams rumored to have interest in Brady are the Los Angeles Chargers and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Bucs are the betting favorite to land Brady.
