Chet Hanks, this time fully dressed, has some great news about his dad.

“They’re out of the hospital,” he said of his parents, Tom and Rita, in an Instagram post Monday night. “They’re still self quarantined obviously, but they’re feeling a lot better, so that’s a relief. My prayers go out to you because a lot of people are suffering other than my parents right now.”

Chet previously told his followers that they were fine after announcing their diagnoses last week. This time around, he also had a message on how to navigate the coronavirus pandemic.

“I think the most important thing is we just stay calm because panicking really isn’t necessary, and it’s just making things more difficult than they need to be,” he said. “If you went to the grocery store and hoarded all the water and toilet paper for yourself I think you’re the problem… I think if we all just be a little less selfish and a little more selfless we’re gonna be completely fine.”

As for Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, they’ve been posting reassuring updates since they announced last week that they tested positive for COVID-19, including one that caused a stir on social media, particularly in Australia, where Hanks was filming an Elvis Presley biopic.
