Last week, actor Tom Hanks put a famous face to the coronavirus pandemic when he announced both he and his wife, Rita Wilson, tested positive while on a shoot in Australia for an upcoming Elvis Presley biopic. He followed with this update a day later.

In the days that followed, the internet, while pushing for more, hadn’t heard from him.
