At the close in Paris, the lost 0.57% to hit a new 52-week low, while the index fell 0.78%.
The best performers of the session on the were Renault SA (PA:), which rose 3.44% or 0.69 points to trade at 20.91 at the close. Meanwhile, Societe Generale SA (PA:) added 3.39% or 0.62 points to end at 18.76 and BNP Paribas SA (PA:) was up 2.97% or 1.03 points to 35.66 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Airbus Group SE (PA:), which fell 4.37% or 3.92 points to trade at 85.70 at the close. TechnipFMC PLC (PA:) declined 4.16% or 0.32 points to end at 7.46 and Sodexo SA (PA:) was down 4.13% or 3.14 points to 72.88.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Biomerieux SA (PA:) which rose 5.91% to 82.50, BIC (PA:) which was up 4.30% to settle at 52.15 and Eurofins Scientific SE (PA:) which gained 4.23% to close at 433.60.
The worst performers were CGG SA (PA:) which was down 9.04% to 1.137 in late trade, DBV Technologies (PA:) which lost 8.29% to settle at 12.83 and Europcar Groupe SA (PA:) which was down 8.08% to 2.30 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 383 to 206 and 74 ended unchanged.

Shares in Sodexo SA (PA:) fell to 3-years lows; falling 4.13% or 3.14 to 72.88. Shares in CGG SA (PA:) fell to 52-week lows; falling 9.04% or 0.113 to 1.137. Shares in Europcar Groupe SA (PA:) fell to all time lows; down 8.08% or 0.20 to 2.30.
The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was up 1.06% to 46.58 a new 5-year high.
Gold Futures for April delivery was down 1.04% or 17.30 to $1643.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 2.53% or 0.87 to hit $33.49 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 2.15% or 0.80 to trade at $36.42 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.02% to 1.1281, while EUR/GBP rose 0.50% to 0.8781.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 96.495.
