Germany stocks mixed at close of trade; DAX down 0.03%

Investing.com – Germany stocks were mixed after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher while losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Frankfurt, the declined 0.03%, while the index lost 0.22%, and the index added 0.30%.

The best performers of the session on the were Linde PLC (DE:), which rose 3.19% or 6.350 points to trade at 205.400 at the close. Meanwhile, Deutsche Bank AG NA O.N. (DE:) added 2.00% or 0.200 points to end at 10.188 and RWE AG ST O.N. (DE:) was up 1.69% or 0.550 points to 33.000 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Siemens AG Class N (DE:), which fell 2.21% or 2.42 points to trade at 107.16 at the close. Heidelbergcement AG O.N. (DE:) declined 2.18% or 1.420 points to end at 63.800 and BASF SE NA O.N. (DE:) was down 1.85% or 1.180 points to 62.680.

The top performers on the MDAX were Commerzbank AG O.N. (DE:) which rose 8.71% to 6.412, Morphosys AG O.N. (DE:) which was up 2.81% to settle at 117.200 and Nemetschek AG O.N. (DE:) which gained 2.22% to close at 66.700.

The worst performers were Aurubis AG (DE:) which was down 6.70% to 49.600 in late trade, Rheinmetall AG (DE:) which lost 3.31% to settle at 97.800 and Siemens Healthineers AG (DE:) which was down 3.06% to 40.05 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were RIB Software AG Na (DE:) which rose 40.74% to 29.020, Morphosys AG O.N. (DE:) which was up 2.81% to settle at 117.200 and Nordex SE O.N. (DE:) which gained 2.65% to close at 12.410.

The worst performers were Siemens Healthineers AG (DE:) which was down 3.06% to 40.05 in late trade, Jenoptik AG (DE:) which lost 2.33% to settle at 26.800 and S&T AG (DE:) which was down 1.65% to 25.04 at the close.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 386 to 297 and 67 ended unchanged.

Shares in Linde PLC (DE:) rose to all time highs; gaining 3.19% or 6.350 to 205.400. Shares in Deutsche Bank AG NA O.N. (DE:) rose to 52-week highs; up 2.00% or 0.200 to 10.188. Shares in RWE AG ST O.N. (DE:) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 1.69% or 0.550 to 33.000. Shares in RIB Software AG Na (DE:) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 40.74% or 8.400 to 29.020.

The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 4.50% to 14.62.

Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.49% or 7.75 to $1579.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 0.61% or 0.31 to hit $51.48 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract rose 0.91% or 0.51 to trade at $56.30 a barrel.

EUR/USD was down 0.27% to 1.0842, while EUR/GBP fell 0.99% to 0.8304.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 98.957.
