The worst performers of the session were Nikon Corp. (T:), which fell 5.75% or 77.0 points to trade at 1261.0 at the close. Amada Co., Ltd. (T:) declined 5.52% or 65.0 points to end at 1112.0 and Comsys Holdings Corp. (T:) was down 5.35% or 170.0 points to 3010.0.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tokyo Stock Exchange by 2338 to 1242 and 211 ended unchanged.
