Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh told listeners on Monday that he has “advanced lung cancer” and will be missing shows for treatment.
“So I have to tell you something today that I wish I didn’t have to tell you. It’s a struggle for me, because I had to inform my staff earlier today,” the 69-year-old lightning rod said. “I can’t help but feel that I’m letting everybody down with. The upshot is that I have been diagnosed with advanced lung cancer.”
Limbaugh said his job has given him the “greatness satisfaction and happiness” of his life, and he feels he’s letting people down with the development. He also said he plans to return on Thursday following treatments.
