The best performers of the session on the were Anb Insurance (SE:), which rose 9.95% or 1.74 points to trade at 19.22 at the close. Meanwhile, The Mediterranean&Gulf Insurance Co (SE:) added 9.92% or 2.06 points to end at 22.82 and Saudi Industrial Services Co. (SE:) was up 5.11% or 1.12 points to 23.04 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Southern Province Cement Co. (SE:), which fell 3.20% or 2.30 points to trade at 69.60 at the close. Saudi Cable Company (SE:) declined 2.97% or 0.58 points to end at 18.94 and Al-Ahsa Development Co. (SE:) was down 2.25% or 0.28 points to 12.14.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 125 to 60 and 14 ended unchanged.
Shares in The Mediterranean&Gulf Insurance Co (SE:) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 9.92% or 2.06 to 22.82.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 0.28% or 0.15 to $53.63 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 0.51% or 0.30 to hit $59.11 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.01% or 0.15 to trade at $1569.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.22% to 4.1253, while USD/SAR rose 0.01% to 3.7518.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.15% at 97.980.
