France stocks higher at close of trade; CAC 40 up 0.08%

Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Paris, the rose 0.08%, while the index added 0.08%.

The best performers of the session on the were Capgemini SE (PA:), which rose 2.10% or 2.35 points to trade at 114.25 at the close. Meanwhile, Pernod Ricard SA (PA:) added 1.78% or 2.90 points to end at 165.70 and Accor SA (PA:) was up 1.66% or 0.67 points to 41.01 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were TechnipFMC PLC (PA:), which fell 3.02% or 0.57 points to trade at 18.48 at the close. AXA SA (PA:) declined 2.57% or 0.65 points to end at 24.68 and Vivendi SA (PA:) was down 1.56% or 0.40 points to 25.30.

The top performers on the SBF 120 were Imerys SA (PA:) which rose 4.75% to 40.12, Casino Guichard Perrachon SA (PA:) which was up 2.60% to settle at 39.41 and Suez SA (PA:) which gained 2.53% to close at 14.200.

The worst performers were TechnipFMC PLC (PA:) which was down 3.02% to 18.48 in late trade, AXA SA (PA:) which lost 2.57% to settle at 24.68 and Quadient SA (PA:) which was down 1.82% to 20.50 at the close.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 296 to 261 and 110 ended unchanged.

The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was down 3.96% to 11.71.

Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.43% or 6.70 to $1543.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 0.53% or 0.31 to hit $58.39 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 0.95% or 0.61 to trade at $64.81 a barrel.

EUR/USD was down 0.01% to 1.1132, while EUR/GBP fell 0.26% to 0.8548.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 97.097.
