Investing.com – France stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Paris, the lost 0.02%, while the index fell 0.02%.

The best performers of the session on the were Publicis Groupe SA (PA:), which rose 2.77% or 1.16 points to trade at 43.08 at the close. Meanwhile, Pernod Ricard SA (PA:) added 2.45% or 3.90 points to end at 162.80 and ArcelorMittal SA (AS:) was up 2.04% or 0.304 points to 15.224 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Renault SA (PA:), which fell 2.82% or 1.18 points to trade at 40.66 at the close. EssilorLuxottica SA (PA:) declined 1.56% or 2.20 points to end at 138.80 and Atos SE (PA:) was down 1.26% or 1.00 points to 78.22.

The top performers on the SBF 120 were GTT (PA:) which rose 4.10% to 92.75, Bureau Veritas SA (PA:) which was up 3.75% to settle at 24.32 and Virbac SA (PA:) which gained 2.91% to close at 230.00.

The worst performers were Europcar Groupe SA (PA:) which was down 3.09% to 4.45 in late trade, Renault SA (PA:) which lost 2.82% to settle at 40.66 and Valeo SA (PA:) which was down 2.70% to 31.66 at the close.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 304 to 277 and 78 ended unchanged.

Shares in Renault SA (PA:) fell to 5-year lows; losing 2.82% or 1.18 to 40.66. Shares in GTT (PA:) rose to all time highs; rising 4.10% or 3.65 to 92.75. Shares in Bureau Veritas SA (PA:) rose to 5-year highs; rising 3.75% or 0.88 to 24.32. Shares in Renault SA (PA:) fell to 5-year lows; down 2.82% or 1.18 to 40.66.

The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was up 4.60% to 12.19.

Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.61% or 9.55 to $1550.55 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 1.13% or 0.67 to hit $58.37 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract fell 0.95% or 0.62 to trade at $64.36 a barrel.

EUR/USD was up 0.18% to 1.1140, while EUR/GBP rose 0.68% to 0.8571.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 97.065.
