Wirecard AG and Sprint Corp. have launched a partnership on the Internet of Things and payment solutions, the companies said Wednesday.
Under the agreement, the German payments company’s WDI, -1.20% unified commerce solutions will be integrated into the U.S. communications-services company’s S, -1.72% IoT platform.
The partnership focuses on the retail business, but the companies plan to expand it to other industries and segments.
“The two companies…are collaborating to embed payment capabilities in IoT deployments, bringing added value to enterprise clients on a global scale,” they said.
