The worst performers of the session were Mitsui Engineering & Shipbuilding (T:), which fell 1.74% or 16.0 points to trade at 906.0 at the close. T&D Holdings, Inc. (T:) declined 1.68% or 24.0 points to end at 1408.0 and Toho Zinc Co., Ltd. (T:) was down 1.55% or 32.0 points to 2034.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tokyo Stock Exchange by 1720 to 1710 and 282 ended unchanged.
