At the close in Frankfurt, the gained 0.58%, while the index climbed 0.27%, and the index fell 0.06%.
The best performers of the session on the were E.ON SE NA (DE:), which rose 2.68% or 0.245 points to trade at 9.385 at the close. Meanwhile, Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (DE:) added 1.70% or 0.337 points to end at 20.215 and Siemens AG Class N (DE:) was up 1.60% or 1.84 points to 117.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Wirecard AG (DE:), which fell 4.50% or 4.900 points to trade at 103.950 at the close. Fresenius Medical Care KGAA ST (DE:) declined 1.36% or 0.900 points to end at 65.100 and Merck KGaA (DE:) was down 0.44% or 0.45 points to 102.90.
The top performers on the MDAX were Aurubis AG (DE:) which rose 10.92% to 49.260, Siltronic AG (DE:) which was up 2.40% to settle at 83.560 and Fraport AG (DE:) which gained 1.75% to close at 77.800.
The worst performers were Telefonica Deutschland Holding AG (DE:) which was down 0.96% to 2.670 in late trade, Tag Immobilien AG (DE:) which lost 0.91% to settle at 21.820 and Scout24 AG (DE:) which was down 0.90% to 54.900 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Jenoptik AG (DE:) which rose 3.25% to 26.660, Pfeiffer Vacuum Technology O.N. (DE:) which was up 2.58% to settle at 155.30 and Siltronic AG (DE:) which gained 2.40% to close at 83.560.
The worst performers were Medigene NA O.N. (DE:) which was down 17.78% to 4.444 in late trade, Wirecard AG (DE:) which lost 4.50% to settle at 103.950 and Nordex SE O.N. (DE:) which was down 1.06% to 12.100 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 414 to 268 and 73 ended unchanged.
Shares in Medigene NA O.N. (DE:) fell to 3-years lows; losing 17.78% or 0.961 to 4.444.
The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 0.82% to 15.78.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.47% or 6.95 to $1475.05 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 0.98% or 0.58 to hit $58.66 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract fell 1.18% or 0.76 to trade at $63.58 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.00% to 1.1092, while EUR/GBP fell 0.11% to 0.8421.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 97.400.
