Hammerson PLC said Monday that it is consulting with major shareholders and voting-advisory agencies to address their concerns after two resolutions received low support at the company’s annual general meeting in April.

The British property-development company HMSO, -3.73%  , which is listed in London and Johannesburg, said 29.7% and 30.2% of votes cast were against its remuneration report and a resolution seeking authority to issue shares, respectively, at its AGM held on April 30.

The company said its remuneration committee has carried out a triennial remuneration review and is consulting with shareholders to ensure that executive reward continues to be aligned with their interests.

Furthermore, Hammerson said it has engaged with shareholders on its share-issue resolution as it still considers the flexibility afforded by this authority to be in the best interests of the company and shareholders.
