Investing.com – India stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

At the close in NSE, the added 0.01%, while the index gained 0.10%.

The best performers of the session on the were Yes Bank Ltd (NS:), which rose 11.18% or 5.40 points to trade at 52.15 at the close. Meanwhile, State Bank Of India (NS:) added 7.56% or 19.85 points to end at 281.55 and ICICI Bank Ltd (NS:) was up 3.16% or 14.35 points to 469.10 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Bharti Infratel Ltd (NS:), which fell 8.65% or 20.55 points to trade at 217.00 at the close. Tata Motors Ltd (NS:) declined 4.98% or 6.65 points to end at 126.85 and Titan Company Ltd (NS:) was down 2.88% or 39.55 points to 1335.00.

The top performers on the BSE Sensex 30 were Yes Bank Ltd (BO:) which rose 7.97% to 52.15, State Bank Of India (BO:) which was up 7.19% to settle at 281.60 and ICICI Bank Ltd (BO:) which gained 3.18% to close at 469.10.

The worst performers were Tata Motors Ltd (BO:) which was down 4.87% to 126.95 in late trade, Tata Motors Ltd DVR (BO:) which lost 3.77% to settle at 57.50 and Vedanta Ltd (BO:) which was down 2.47% to 142.05 at the close.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the India National Stock Exchange by 901 to 622 and 103 ended unchanged; on the Bombay Stock Exchange, 1302 fell and 1031 advanced, while 144 ended unchanged.

Shares in Bharti Infratel Ltd (NS:) fell to 5-year lows; losing 8.65% or 20.55 to 217.00. Shares in ICICI Bank Ltd (NS:) rose to all time highs; rising 3.16% or 14.35 to 469.10. Shares in ICICI Bank Ltd (BO:) rose to all time highs; up 3.18% or 14.45 to 469.10.

The , which measures the implied volatility of Nifty 50 options, was down 5.70% to 15.3150 a new 1-month low.

Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.24% or 3.55 to $1508.25 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.05% or 0.03 to hit $56.20 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.03% or 0.02 to trade at $61.69 a barrel.

USD/INR was down 0.07% to 70.909, while EUR/INR rose 0.03% to 78.8185.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 97.382.
