Meanwhile, Star Entertainment Group Ltd (ASX:) added 5.38% or 0.240 points to end at 4.700 and Webjet Ltd (ASX:) was up 4.06% or 0.430 points to 11.030 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Wisetech Global Ltd (ASX:), which fell 6.83% or 1.950 points to trade at 26.580 at the close. Nearmap Ltd (ASX:) declined 5.05% or 0.150 points to end at 2.820 and Bravura Solutions Ltd (ASX:) was down 4.79% or 0.190 points to 3.780.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Sydney Stock Exchange by 582 to 569 and 323 ended unchanged.

AUD/USD was down 0.19% to 0.6840, while AUD/JPY fell 0.26% to 74.29.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 97.213.
